Alex Lowes is a product of the BSB racing scene in his native UK. Since he entered WorldSBK he has secured 50 podiums, for four different manufacturers, including his current bimota by Kawasaki Racing Team last year. Alex has taken four race wins, and has a career best championship ranking of third overall, in 2019.
Alex, one of two famous and successful racing twins alongside his brother Sam, would leave that BSB scene as a champion, in 2013, and enter WorldSBK in 2014 as part of a Suzuki-based squad.
He secured some podiums and fastest laps in races, and then went on to secure his first race win for Yamaha in 2018. Lowes ended top making another big step in 2022, as he joined the legendary figure of Jonathan Rea in the official Kawasaki Racing team set-up. He would win there more races, all on the Kawasaki Ninja ZX-10RR, before the exciting bimota by Kawasaki Racing Team opportunity presented itself last season, in 2025.
As the BbKRT team is operated on the ground by the Provec Racing squad, the 2025 season was a change of machinery, but an expansion on both a human and technological scale. This stability as he enters his second WorldSBK year on the exciting bimota KB998 Rimini machine, gives Alex many rears to look forward to what will be his 13th successive WorldSBK season.
Alex was sixth in the overall rankings in 2025, the first for his bimota machine, and he scored four podium places in all.
