The Kawasaki brand KX call to arms is “The Bike that Builds Champions”, and that is surely true of the KX450-SR.

Taking French hero, Romain Febvre, to the 2025 MXGP Championship top step, the KX450-SR is the meticulously constructed factory race machine that sits underneath both Favre and Jonass is based firmly on the production model available in any Kawasaki motocross dealership.

A winter of testing and refinement shows that the Kawasaki MXGP team leave no stone unturned in that pursuit of further glory. While it may seem that the KX450-SR needs no refinement, the team are eager to stay at the front of the pack and have worked with engineers from the Japanese race department - and their highly skilled suppliers within Europe and globally - to examine every single facet of the machine in an attempt to move closer towards racing perfection.
  
Entering last season the team concentrated on front end feel and tyre grip as well as the full range of elements that combined to offer traction in all conditions. For 2026 the goal is to maintain the overall balance of the machine while edging ahead of the competition in terms of not just one aspect, but the complete overall package which should offer the riders the chance to be at the front of the pack in all conditions and across practice qualifying and the all-important races.

The KRT MXGP KX450-SR riders have at their fingertips, electronic launch control for race starts, traction control and switchable ignition maps all activated and monitored from the onboard Motec ECU.
 
Supported by numerous technical and product sponsors – the KRT KX450-SR is now a proven Chamnpinship winner. For 2026 the goal is to see Jonass on the podium regularly and to support Febvre in his target of back to back Championship wins.

KX250-SR

With over a year of development testing and now racing under their belt, the MX2 side of the KRT motocross squad are justifiably optimistic about 2026… and for good reason.

Retaining the services of the demonstrably quick and fast evolving French rider Mathis Valin, both bike and rider enter the second season in MX2 has a more complete and considered package.

A hard fought class which has expanded in terms of manufacturers in the recent past, MX2 is a great proving ground for the quarter litre machines displayed in off road dealerships. For Kawasaki, the investment in MX2 illustrates a commitment to not only the 250cc capacity class but also its role as a feeder for the pinnacle MXGP paddock.

Running in full factory specification, the KX250-SR is a rare beast and the focus of much attention in the paddock. The recipient of a huge amount both technical and engineering focus from within KRT plus also the Japanese race workshop and key partners, both the learning and performance curves have been hugely impressive.

Of course, Valin plays his part in the cocktail of machine and rider, so his experience across the whole 2025 racing season will arm him well for the exertions of 2026 where his loyal race crew - and the KRT team overall - will offer there for support in order for him to achieve the success he deserves.
