The ultimate aim for Alcoba is to get back onto the podium with the Ninja ZX-6R 636; a feat he achieved twice last year in his rookie WorldSSP season. Jeremy’s best 2026 result so far is fourth place, which he secured in Race One at Balaton Park. He took a confidence-boosting fifth place at the Misano round last time out, in the second race of the Italian weekend.

Double WorldSSP Champion Aegerter, who has come back to WorldSSP after three seasons of WorldSBK racing, is working his way back to full pace in what is his first year as a Kawasaki WorldSSP rider. His best result of 2026 so far is sixth place, which he secured in Race One at Assen.

Both Kawasaki WorldSSP Team riders benefitted from a recent two-day test at the Cremona circuit in Italy. The championship will return there for the tenth round of the championship, in late September.

Pre-Donington Jeremy is ninth in the championship rankings with 100 points, while Dominique is 17th, with 31 points. 

WorldSSP action begins on Friday, 10 July, with a free practice session followed by Superpole Qualifying. On Saturday, a short warm-up session leads towards the start of Race One, which is scheduled for 19 laps and a local start time of 14.00 hours.  The final WorldSSP race of the weekend will take place on Sunday, 12 July, and it is once again scheduled for 19 laps and a 14.00 start time.

A long summer break awaits the WorldSSP teams after the end of the Donington Park weekend, with the next round taking place at Magny-Cours in France, between 4-6 September.

Jeremy Alcoba, stated: “Donington Park is a unique track; one I really like riding. We easily reached the top ten in both races last year, but I hope to do more this time, thanks also to the hard work we put in during the Cremona test and the improvements made to our bike. It will be important to qualify well to then give it our all in the races.”

Dominique Aegerter, stated: “I know the Donington track very well, having raced there in different categories. It’s an old-style track with a lot of ups and downs, chicanes, and both very fast and slow turns. I hope the weather helps us out and stays dry. There are always a lot of passionate fans who come to support us too. The Cremona test helped us to improve our bike, and I hope we can demonstrate that during this eighth round. We need to reach the top ten in qualifying and then run two strong races.”
