Between Friday 29 May and Sunday 31 May, the official Ninja ZX-6R 636 duo of Alcoba and Aegerter will first take part in a qualifying session and then race for points and race positions at the impressive 5.077km long Motorland Aragon circuit near the historic town of Alcaniz.
Friday will feature a free practice session and then the Tissot Superpole Qualifying session, which determines the starting positions for Race One. On Saturday, a short warm-up session precedes Race One, which will be held over 15 laps. Another 15-lap contest on Sunday 31 May ends the track action at Motorland.
Currently, Jeremy is sixth in the championship, with Dominique 17th.
The next round after Motorland will be held at the home circuit for the Kawasaki WorldSSP Team, between 12-14 June, at the always popular Misano World Circuit ‘Marco Simoncelli.’ This round will be the first of the second half of the 2026 season, which is held over 12 race weekends in all.
Jeremy Alcoba, stated: “Aragon is my home round, and so my family and friends will be there to support me. I’m really pleased and determined to do well. Last year, I qualified well but then struggled in the races. I don’t want to make any predictions because the races have all been very different to last year’s so far. I really like the track and am sure that if we can take a step forward and improve the setup of the bike, I’ll be able to score strong results. Rest assured, I’ll be giving more than 100% for all my supporters and for the team.”
Dominique Aegerter, stated: “I like the Aragon track, even though it’s not an easy one to interpret, with blind bends and some ups and downs that break your rhythm. I’m ready for this sixth round, and both I and the team are determined to improve certain aspects - then find good feeling with the bike right away, so that we can do well in Superpole. WorldSSP races are difficult, and we’re all very close, but I think we have a chance to finish inside the top ten.”
