Alcoba Takes Another Step After Aragon Test

Kawasaki WorldSSP Team rider Jeremy Alcoba joined some of his rivals for an important private test session at the Motorland Aragon circuit on 25 August, making preparations for the final four rounds of his rookie season in this class.

The Ninja ZX-6R 636 machine is also a new WorldSSP entry for 2025, so the recent Motorland test was an important one to evaluate set-up ideas and also get back into the groove after a long summer break in competitive action.

Despite rain hampering progress in the early part of his test day, the Spanish rider got the chance to try some new components on his Ninja ZX-6R 636, and found positives in his overall set-up as a result.

Jeremy and his crew managed to get a good amount of work done with some new features of the race package and they also spent time adapting the set-up to suit the 5.077km long Aragon layout itself.

Alcoba completed 54 laps in total during his unavoidably compressed Motorland test, taking a best lap time of 1’55.039.

Attention now turns to the next round of the WorldSSP championship itself, at Magny Cours in France, to be held between 5-7 September. Motorland Aragon hosts the subsequent round, between 26-28 September.

Jeremy Alcoba stated: “It was a pity about the rain, which meant we only rode for half a day. The track was also dirty, which made things tricky because there weren’t enough bikes on track to put more rubber down. I’m pleased with what we got done anyway, as we were able to understand more about what we need to be strong at this track. The team and I worked well, and now we’ll see if we can use what we’ve learned here during the next races.”
