Alcoba Ready For Another New Challenge

In his first season of FIM Supersport World Championship racing Spaniard Jeremy Alcoba (Kawasaki WorldSSP Team) has already faced a number of new experiences on his Ninja ZX-6R 636. His next new circuit to face will be the Autodrom Most, which hosts the fifth round of the season between 16-18 May.

Despite his lack of previous experience in this production-derived category of racing Jeremy has already had a top five race finish and a top four ranking in Superpole qualifying. He will be keen to have another strong qualifying performance to allow him to run with the top riders from the very beginning this coming weekend, especially on such a twisting circuit layout.

The 4.212km long Autodrom Most has been the host venue for four previous WorldSSP weekends since it first arrived on the WorldSSP calendar in 2021. Featuring a very high ratio of corners to track length, there are fully 21 bends and kinks to negotiate during each lap of the mountainside circuit.

Located in the extreme north west of Czechia, Most sits relatively close to the German border. This means that in addition to the enthusiastic local fans this round always attracts significant numbers of spectators from the most populous country in Europe, plus other nearby countries.

As per the contemporary format of WorldSSP weekends Superpole qualifying will take place on Friday 16 May. Two points-scoring 19-lap races will then take place - one of Saturday 17 May and the other one day later.

After Most, there will be a three weekend break in action before the season restarts at the Misano World Circuit ‘Marco Simoncelli’, in Italy, between 13-15 June.

Jeremy Alcoba stated: “After the last race we did in Cremona I can’t wait to get back on my ZX-6R 636 and I’m convinced that we can do even better. I’ve never raced in Most but my team explained to me that it’s a track not very different from Cremona, but faster. I’ll try to find a good set up for my Ninja right away to be able to do well both in Superpole Qualifying and in the races.”
